
Trip To Cranbrook Institute Of Science

The Port Huron Museum is sponsoring a bus trip on January 29, to Cranbrook Institute of Science, in Bloomfield Hills, for a guided tour of their new dramatic Extreme Deep: Mission to the Abyss exhibit. This exhibit includes a section designated to the historical Storm of 1913 that devastated the Great Lakes Area from November 8 through November 11, 1913. There was severe destruction on Lake Huron during the storm, which resulted in the death of almost 250 people and destruction or stranding of almost 40 ships throughout the Great Lakes. This trip will serve as a preview of the Port Huron Museum exhibit Storm of 1913: Remembered. The motor coach bus will depart from the Port Huron Museum at 9:00 a.m. and return at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29. Cost: $25.00 per person – includes bus travel and main Institute admission (lunch not included). Most major credit cards are accepted. Early reservations are necessary.
