Studio 1219 is kicking off the New Year with the Best of the Best on display.  The New Year consistently brings new art to patrons and a fresh look to the galleries at Studio 1219.  Artist Network members spend an entire year preparing for this prestigious annual competition designed to showcase their finest pieces.  The popular show provides artists an opportunity to highlight the works they feel best represent their artistic style, sharing with the public the culmination of a year-long translation from inspiration to masterpiece.  2013’s entries offer a wide range of pieces, that include works in oil, acrylic and watercolor as well as mixed media, jewelry, pottery, fiber arts, photography and sculpture.  An opening reception is set for this Friday, January 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.  It is free to the public.
