
Information session scheduled Jan. 28 For SC4 Medical Coding And Billing Program

An information session is planned Monday, Jan. 28, at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron for students interested in SC4’s medical coding and billing program. The session will be from 6 to 7 p.m. in Room 206 of the college’s Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center, corner of Erie Street and Glenwood Avenue. Students can attend the session to get information about course content, performance expectations, careers in medical coding and billing, and national certification exams. The medical coding and billing program will run from 6 to 10 p.m. each Monday and Wednesday from Feb. 11 to Aug. 21. The class prepares students for entry-level employment in medical office positions associated with scheduling, registration, and billing and collections. The class will prepare students for two national certification exams, Certified Coding Associate, offered by American Health Information Management Association, and Certified Billing and Coding Specialist, offered by National Healthcareer Association.
