You Are Invited Vineyards Of The World - February 22
January 30th, 2013
The St. Joseph Mercy Foundation is pleased to announce that the premier fundraiser “Vineyards of the World” wine tasting event to benefit the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health is planned for Friday, February 22. Beginning with registration at 6:30 p.m., participants can once again experience exotic taste sensations from around the world. The Eleventh Annual “Vineyards of the World”, cosponsored by Wright & Filippis, will be held at Fore Lakes Golf Club, in Kimball Township. This year’s event will offer an opportunity to sense some exciting new wine releases from around the world including Australia, Argentina, Italy, France and Spain; and even some domestic versions from California, Michigan and Oregon. The event will again feature the popular beer tasting and martini tasting stations. In addition to the beverages, participants will also be provided exquisite hot and cold hors d’oeuvres that have been carefully hand-selected to complement the overall wine tasting experience. All proceeds from the event go to support the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health. This event is the centerpiece fundraising event for the clinic. Last year, the event generated over $54,630 and helped support clinic operations. “We couldn’t begin to fund the clinic at the level we do without outstanding support from everyone in the community who attends this event,” comments Carolyn Crowe, St. Joseph Mercy Fund Development Representative. Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health is a collaborative project of St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron and the St. Clair County Medical Society. It is funded in part by the United Way of St. Clair County. The clinic provides free medical care to those in our community who are uninsured and lack the resources to pay for their care. Peoples’ Clinic is the centerpiece of St. Joseph Mercy’s mission to provide care to the poor and underserved.
