Dog License Raises After The End Of The Month
February 8th, 2013
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Division is reminding dog owners to make sure to purchase their 2013 dog license before the price goes up. Dog owners who purchase licenses through February 28th will pay $12 for each spay/neuter dog and $22 for each non-altered dog. If the license isn’t purchased by the end of business on the 28th, the price of the license goes up to $40 for each dog. Remember, all dogs rabies vaccinations have to be up to date to purchase a dog license. A puppy has to be licensed by 4 months of age. A newly obtained dog older than 4 months of age has to be licensed within 30 days of ownership. If you obtain a new dog throughout the year, the license is sold at a pro-rated price. Dog licenses can be purchased at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office main office at 1170 Michigan Road in Port Huron Township, the Animal Control Office at 3378 Griswold Road in Port Huron Township, the St. Clair County Treasurer’s Office, township and city offices and most veterinarian offices.
