
SC4 Dean To Make Two Presentations At National Conference

Linda Davis, St. Clair County Community College’s dean of instructional support services, will make two presentations at the League for Innovation in the Community College’s annual conference, Innovation 2013, from March 10 to 13 in Dallas. In the first presentation, “Engaging in Conversations as an Innovative Strategy to Cultural Transformation,” participants will learn how a dynamic community college gained valuable input on challenging decisions through courageous conversations. In the second presentation, “Measuring Program Viability to Make Critical Decisions,” participants will learn about a simple, collaborative process to measure the viability of occupational programs and see how the results can be used to make challenging decisions about the future of the programs. The League for Innovation in the Community College is an international organization dedicated to the community college movement. It hosts conferences and institutes, develops Web resources, conducts research, produces publications, provides services, and leads projects and initiatives with member colleges, corporate partners and other agencies. The annual conference provides a forum for collaboration among academic experts and community college professionals, while granting participants access to inventive programs from around the world. Professionals from colleges and universities and corporations serving higher education from around the world will attend the conference.
