
Daniel E. Mainguy Promoted To The Rank Of Fire Operations Chief

Operations Chief Appointment for the Port Huron Public Safety Department Fire Division – Daniel E. Mainguy will be promoted to the rank of Fire Operations Chief effective February 23, 2013. With the recent reorganization of the two public safety divisions serving the city of Port Huron into one Department of Public Safety with separate Police and Fire divisions, the appointment is publically announced by Public Safety Director Michael Reaves. Battalion Chief Daniel E. Mainguy began working for the city in October of 1986 where he started as a part-time Police Cadet and Dispatcher. Chief Mainguy then later accepted a full time position as a fire fighter in October of 1992. Chief Mainguy was promoted to the fire command position of Lieutenant on November 1, 2003 and then promoted to Captain / Inspector on April 28, 2007. Since July 11, 2011 Chief Mainguy has served as a Battalion Chief for the City of Port Huron Fire Department. He will take over Chief Operations duties of the Fire Division effective February 23, 2013 under the direction of Public Safety Director Michael Reaves. Chief Mainguy lives in the Port Huron area with his wife and two daughters. Chief Mainguy looks forward to the challenge of his new position within the fire division, of where he has devoted his entire career of fire service.
