United Way Of St. Clair County Seeking Programs In Need Of Grant Money

The United Way of St. Clair County is requesting proposals for a training program to benefit low-income women from 30 – 55 years of age who reside in St. Clair County. These grants are intended to train women in the skills needed to successfully gain or enhance employment; preparation of a resume, interview skills, dress and presentation skills at a minimum. Grant funding is for programs six weeks in duration. Grants valued up to $7,500 are available with a minimum of 20 women served and with half of the funds allocated to a client package which would include a resume portfolio and interview clothing. Only one program Letter of Intent (LOI) will be accepted per organization. The Letter of Intent with a brief program description must be submitted electronically by accessing the United Way of St. Clair County’s website,www.uwstclair.org, and following instructions from the Grant Opportunity Tab. The Letter of Intent is due September 13, 2013, 12 noon. Any non-profit organization may apply.
