Shooting Suspect Arraigned

Extradition took place yesterday in the case of a  25-year-old Port Huron man who was arrested in Ohio in connection with a November 7 shooting in the 3100 block of Electric Avenue.  U.S. Marshals are reported to have found the man November 17 based on information provided by assisting agencies in Belmont County, Ohio.  The Times Herald states that police would not release details about the information that resulted in the arrest or the location of the arrest.  The suspect was arraigned on charges of assault with intent to murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and felony firearm as a habitual offender.  The shooting took place outside an apartment complex after a dispute between the suspect and the 40 year old victim who was shot in the stomach.
