DETROIT — The Pentagon says a 28-year-old Marine from Detroit has been killed in combat in Afghanistan.  The Defense Department announced Thursday night that Staff Sgt. Vincent J. Bell died Wednesday during fighting in Helmand province.   Bell was based at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
