If you are looking for something to keep your kids occupied during the winter break, you may want to head to Pine River Nature Center.  The center allows them to explore the outdoors, without getting wet!  The nature center is located at  2585 Castor Road in Wales Township.  The site has more than 3 miles of trails open daily from dawn to dusk and covers more than 90 acres.  The center also has a large exhibit room with a variety of nature displays — including furs and taxidermy — and animals such as the Eastern box turtle and Eastern spiny soft shell turtle.
