A 46-year-old woman reported missing by her husband was found dead in the St. Clair River yesterday morning, according to a statement from the St. Clair County Sheriff Department.  Reports say deputies responded to the 1100 block of River Road in St. Clair Township after the woman’s husband called saying his wife was missing. Once the area around the home were searched, officers concentrated on the bank of the St. Clair River where she was found just offshore shortly before 11 a.m. Members of the sheriff department marine division, dive team and detective bureau and Tri-Hospital EMS, St. Clair Fire Department and medical examiner’s office responded to the scene. The body was recovered by the dive team shortly after noon.  Cause and manner of death have not been determined. Investigation continues.
