Students who will be seniors this fall at Port Huron Northern High School are now eligible to enroll in the Blue Water Middle College Academy, according to a newly released interpretation of state rules.  This is only a one-year change, affecting only Port Huron Northern. The following year, only students who are entering their junior year can enroll in the middle college.  Blue Water Middle College Academy students take a portion of their classes at the community college and the rest at their home high school. At the end of Year 13, academy students can earn both a high school diploma and a two-year college degree, allowing them to transfer to a four-year institution with the academic status of a junior.  Enrollment for fall 2012 has begun.  Information may be received by contacting Director Pete Spencer at (810) 989-5805, or emailing him at spencer.pete@sccresa.org.
