Three Hour Search Finds Injured Man In Local Hospital ER
February 7th, 2012

After a three-hour search by nearly  50 first responders for a missing man – the man was found to be in the emergency room of Port Huron Hospital.  The man had called Yale Feed Store about noon Monday to report he had cut his leg with a chainsaw and was near a bridge, but did not know his exact location.  He did not answer the phone he had called the feed store with.  Due to the nature and severity of the injury and the small amount of information given, authorities called in fire crews from Yale, Brockway, Grant, Burtchville, Mussey, Lexington and Croswell, as well as the sheriff department, Michigan State Police and the St. Clair County Dive Team. An air search team from the Sanilac County Sheriff Department was also deployed.  The search initiated near the bridge at M-19 and Norman Road.
