Lt. Governor Meets With Business Leaders
February 10th, 2012

Lt. Governor Brian Calley
Some 120 area business leaders were in attendance this morning as the Blue Water Business Council met with Lt. Gov. Brian Calley, Sen. Phil Pavlov and Steve Glogowski, president of the Michigan Manufacturer Technology Center.  The morning included a discussion on improving the business climate in Michigan.  The meeting was held at E&A Credit Union, 500 10th St. in Port Huron.  The Lt. Governor touched on what policies were enacted in 2011 to boost the economy, as well as a preview on a few things the administration has in store for 2012.   Calley is the second-youngest lieutenant governor in Michigan’s history. He came to the position with experience as a two-term state representative and former minority vice chair of the House Tax Policy Committee.  This was his third trip to Port Huron since taking office.
