Sanilac County Long Guns Recovered In Detroit

Three long guns that had been stolen from a Wheatland Township home on December 16 of last year, were found in a Detroit residence last Friday, according to a news release from the Sanilac County Sheriff Department.  In addition police found a .50 caliber long gun believed to be connected to a recent theft from another residence in Sanilac County, a small quantity of drugs, money and a sawed-off shotgun.  Authorities believe a number of stolen guns have previously been sold or traded for drugs in that Detroit residence.  Arrested were, 21 year old Cody James VanBlaricum of Sandusky and 19 year old  Derrick Nicholas of Snover  - the two face multiple felony counts of breaking and entering.   Further investigation continues.
