
Rogers Bayfest Announces Rock Weekend Entertainers

Rogers Bayfest will host Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden as part of the rock weekend on July 14. Iron Maiden has been performing for over 36 years, and was honored by MTV as one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time. Alice Cooper grew up in Detroit, where he began his solo career in 1975 with the album “Welcome To My Nightmare”. The original Alice Cooper band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. This summer marks the 14th year of Bayfest which is held at Sarnia’s Centenial park from July 12 to 15. The rest of the lineup is expected to be announced in March and tickets will go on sale once the full lineup has been announced. Rogers Bayfest’s has been included in the Ontario Ministry of Tourism’s 2010 list of 20 Festivals and Events of Distinction as well as winning the Event of the Year award at the seventh annual Ontario Tourism Summit.
