The Fort Gratiot couple arrested last month on home invasion charges were brought back into 72^ndDistrict Court today for arraignment on amended and new charges.  50 year old Bryan Thibodeau now faces 39 criminal charges, while his wife, 42 year old Lisa Thibodeau faces 18.  Both were arraigned in front of District Court Judge John Monaghan Wednesday morning.  Bryan Thibodeau is now charged with one count of conducting a criminal enterprise, four counts of home invasion first degree, twenty-eight counts of home invasion second degree, three counts of felony firearm, and one count each of possession of firearms by a felon, safe breaking and possession of burglary tools. 

Lisa Thibodeau is charged with conducting a criminal enterprise, four counts of home invasion first degree, eleven counts of home invasion second degree, one count of receiving and concealing stolen weapons and one count of felony firearms.  The charges are the culmination of a lengthy investigation involving the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office/Port Huron Police Major Crimes Unit, both departments Detective Bureaus, The St. Clair County Drug Task Force, the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office.  During the initial investigation, the pair was observed breaking into a home on Manchester Drive in Kimball Township on January 20th.  They were arrested a short time later.  After their arrest, two search warrants were executed in Fort Gratiot Township, where stolen property from other home invasions was recovered. Further investigation resulted in the additional charges added at today’s arraignment.   The investigation was in response to several dozen home invasions in Fort Gratiot, Burtchville and Kimball Townships, along with the north end of Port Huron.  Both remain in the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center in lieu of $50-thouand bond for Bryan Thibodeau and $15-thousand for Lisa Thibodeau
