Police Seek Suspect In Fired Shots
March 14th, 2012
Police continue to search for a man in connection with a report of shots fired shortly after midnight Tuesday in the 1400 block of Nelson Street in Port Huron. Reports say Police responded to the neighborhood earlier yesterday after the shots were reported. The officers – who were south of the location on another call prior to the incident – also heard the gun shots. While investigating, police came across an individual they believed to be intoxicated carrying a gun who apparently was looking into the shots fired. He was arrested for being intoxicated and in possession of a firearm. Officers saw the original suspect but lost sight of him when he ran between some houses. He was last seen in the 400 block of 15th Street. Reports say he is a white male with short hair, wearing light pants and a blue wind breaker with white sleeves. He was walking with a limp. No one was injured in the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call CAPTURE at (810) 987-6688 or go online at www.porthuronpolice.org.
