A two vehicle crash that occurred at about 8:00 p.m. last night, closed down Beard Road between Wildcat and Glyshaw for some time.  An Avoca man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in the incident that sent one man to the hospital with what officials were calling critical injuries after he was cut out of the car.  St. Clair County Sheriff deputies say the Avoca man was driving westbound in a pickup truck on Beard Road which is M-136, lost control of the truck and veered into the eastbound lane,  where he struck a car almost head-on.  The driver of the car is reported to be a test driver for Chrysler.   The man was transported to Port Huron Hospital.  Investigation continues.
