Doctors Day - March 30
March 30th, 2012

In 1990, President George Bush signed Public Law 101-47 designating March 30 each year as National Doctors Day. This annual day of recognition was established to formally recognize the role of physicians in promoting health care for the sick and advancing medical knowledge.  In honor of all physicians, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital is proud to recognize the talented, innovative and compassionate medical community and thank them for their devotion to clinical excellence. In recognition of the commitment of the St. Joseph Mercy Medical Staff, and in honor of Doctors Day on March 30, personal notes of thanks are being posted in the hospital’s Baggot Street Café (cafeteria); special notes of recognition are being sent to each medical practice; and the St. Joseph Mercy Administration has made a contribution on behalf of the entire medical staff to the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health.  WGRT joins St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron in extending heartfelt thanks to its remarkable physicians who work every day to provide remarkable care to our community.
