
National Day Of Prayer Sees A Variety Of Prayer Services Across The Country

Thursday, May 3rd, 2012 has been established by the United States Congress as the 60th National Day of Prayer. This first Thursday in May is set aside to remember our spiritual heritage and the foundation our country was built upon. Last year approximately 2 million people gathered together to pray on this day for our country! The national theme for 2012 is “One Nation Under God” Operation Transformation, along with Blue Water Area Churches, are sponsoring a time of prayer throughout the day for people to come together and corporately pray for our country, leaders and societal issues. All services are free and open to all. There will also be a Noon Prayer Service from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. inside at the MOC (Port Huron City Building), 100 McMorran Blvd., in Port Huron. Various community leaders, business leaders and pastors will be leading times of prayer for specific areas. Special music will be provided by the New Life Christian Academy Choir.
