
Man Arrested For Assault

A 35-year-old Port Huron man was arrested after an assault early Saturday. According to a news release from St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, deputies were called to a fight at the entrance of the Minnesota Lakes mobile home community on Minnesota Road shortly before 5 a.m. Officers stopped a white Buick Rendezous in the area and found the driver with a cut above his eye. Deputies then found the victim, a 37-year-old Port Huron man who had been slashed several times with a knife. The driver of the Rendezvous was identified by the victim as the man who had assaulted him. The driver was taken to Port Huron Hospital, treated for his injury and taken to the St. Clair County jail. He will be arraigned on a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm. The victim was taken to St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron. He received multiple stitches and was released.
