Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies Run For Recovery This Weekend

The St. Clair County Community Mental Health (SCCCMH) Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies Run for Recovery has been recognized as a quality physical activity event by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness. The 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk will be held on May 12, beginning at 9 a.m. at the SCCCMH building, 3111 Electric Avenue, Port Huron. The 5K is listed as a Runners World Magazine Race Event, and features a 5K road course certified by the U.S. Track and Field Association. The 1 Mile Fun Walk is accessible to participants of all ages and abilities. The Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies Run for Recovery event is held annually on the second Saturday of May. Its purpose is to raise awareness of the connection between good mental health and good physical health, as well as to raise money for the SCCCMH Lifeline Fund.
