Witnesses to an accident that occurred in the early hours today are being sought by Port Huron Police.  Fort Gratiot resident Michael Eckert, the Times Herald’s interim editor was taken to a local hospital this morning following the crash that occurred about 5:30 this morning.   Eckert was injured when a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Port Huron woman reportedly pulled in front of Eckert to turn onto Brandywine Lane from Pine Grove Avenue.  If you have any information about the accident, you are asked to call the CAPTURE hotline at 810-987-6688  or log on to  www.porthuron.org
